This document reviews ongoing state-building efforts by the Regional Assistance Mission to the Solomon Islands (RAMSI), and to make suggestions about long-term strategies for governance reform there.
It reports on a trip to the Solomon Islands from the period of March 29-April 7, 2008. The author conducted interviews in Honiara and Auki, with officials of the Solomon Islands Government, RAMSI, civil society and church groups, the private sector and donors.
