The Assessment Capacities Project (ACAPS) is dedicated to improving the assessment of needs in complex emergencies, sudden onset disasters and protracted crises. ACAPS believe that better data and information on the impact of disasters is a key element in ensuring the best possible response. They provide tools, know-how and training for assessments to a wide range of humanitarian actors.

These resources are aimed at people working in humanitarian situations:

In emergency situations humanitarian actors often lose time by looking for appropriate tools and methodologies applicable to their context. ACAPS is developing series of templates and practical guidance dedicated to ease the work of assessment experts in the field. You will find here all ACAPS resources, including reviews of various technical aspects of assessment and secondary data reviews.
