AusAID's new Quality Reporting System helps to ensure reliable, valid and robust information supporting the ongoing measurement and improvement of the quality of activities. It also meets external accountability through AusAID's Annual Report and Annual Review of Development Effectiveness.

The Quality Reporting System tracks the quality of aid activities at the stages of design (or entry), implementation and completion, through Quality At Entry (QAE), Quality At Implementation (QAI), and Quality At Completion (QAC) reports.

The system uses a 6-point rating scale. It is informed by five Quality Aid Principles or criteria, against which ratings and commentary are provided: 1) Analysis and learning, 2) Effectiveness, 3) Efficiency, 4) Monitoring and Evaluation, 5) Sustainability.

Templates for QAE, QAI and QAC reports are also provided.
