This paper summarizes the outputs of a most recent DFID organized conference on what needs to be done given current experience with MDG progress to reach the MDGs by 2015. These outputs come from discussions among 140 international delegates with access to 10 MB of background papers.

Drawing from an optimistic consensus among delegates that the MDGs can be reached by 2015, the Conference made calls for more concerted action in areas it identified as key. Accountability, fairness, innovation and resilience should guide future work. It identified priority global development actions which included building coalitions of national leaders to mobilize change. Action points were defined for equitable growth, addressing conflict and fragility, climate change, girls and women, hunger, maternal and child health and education.
