This series of seven Factsheets discusses the availability and source of funding for women’s rights work internationally. It is part of a multi-year research project aiming to better understand funding trends and how best to expand the resource base for feminist movements and women’s rights organisations.

The seven fact sheets firstly provide an overview of women’s organisations and funding for women’s rights, and then discusses each source of funding in turn (international non-governmental organisations, bilateral and multilateral development agencies, women’s funds, large private foundations, Individual giving and small private foundations, and  corporate philanthropy).
The factsheets discuss the kinds of programs and organisations each of these donors fund, and outline some of the challenges to scaling up women’s rights work.
