Governance reform in Papua New Guinea (doc 100kb)
This document investigates problems of governance reform in Papua New Guinea, with particular attention to subnational government.It reports on a trip undertaken by the author to Papua New Guinea and to Indonesian Papua from July 21-August 1, 2007.
In addition to conversations with various experts and officials in Port Moresby, the author visited Rabaul, Kokopo, and the Gazelle district in East New Britain, Goroka and Daulo district in the Eastern Highlands province, and Jayapura and Mulia in Papua Province, Indonesia.
