Australian Development Gateway

The Australian Development Gateway (ADG) strives to support members of the development community in their efforts to reduce poverty and enhance sustainable development in the Asia Pacific region. The site has been created with participation from members of government, private, academia and non-government organisations. User feedback mechanisms have been incorporated to guide future directions of the site. The site is optimised for low bandwidth access to enable the widest participation throughout the Asia Pacific region.

AIIA 75th Anniversary National Conference

  • Host: Australian Institute of International Affairs
  • The Australian Institute of International Affairs (AIIA) is hosting a National Conference bringing together those with an interest in international issues from a variety of areas including government, diplomacy, academia, NGOs, cultural organisations and the wider community.

    The National Conference will involve discussion by high-level Australian and distinguished international speakers on Australia's role in the world as seen through through the lens of past experience and future challenges.

    There will be an exclusive private viewing of the Masterpieces of Art Deco 1910-1930 exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria. The conference will conclude with a Research Forum on Conflict and Security: A targeted policy debate on security and conflict issues with regional and international experts.

Australian Institute of International Affairs - various events

  • Date: Throughout 2008
  • Venue: Melbourne, Australia
  • Host: Australian Institute of International Affairs
  • The Victorian branch has an active meeting programme, holding functions on average two or three times a month, at lunchtime or in the early evening. It also holds regular functions in conjunction with a number of other like-minded organisations. Speakers are drawn from a wide range of professions and interests, including diplomacy, journalism, politics, academia, and business. See the link below for upcoming events.
