Australian Development Gateway

The Australian Development Gateway (ADG) strives to support members of the development community in their efforts to reduce poverty and enhance sustainable development in the Asia Pacific region. The site has been created with participation from members of government, private, academia and non-government organisations. User feedback mechanisms have been incorporated to guide future directions of the site. The site is optimised for low bandwidth access to enable the widest participation throughout the Asia Pacific region.

WBI distance learning program on natural disaster risk management (distance learning)

  • The World Bank Institute's (WBI) Global Distance Learning Programme on Natural Disaster Risk Management is a series of online courses designed to develop a broader understanding of natural disaster risk management among local government decision makers, policy makers, administrators and disaster management practitioners. It also seeks to enhance the effectiveness of disaster risk management practices at the local and community levels.

    The objective of the Natural Disaster Risk Management Programme (NDRMP) is to promote proactive disaster risk management practices by advancing the analytical skills and professional knowledge of development practitioners in specific areas of disaster risk management.
