Australian Development Gateway

The Australian Development Gateway (ADG) strives to support members of the development community in their efforts to reduce poverty and enhance sustainable development in the Asia Pacific region. The site has been created with participation from members of government, private, academia and non-government organisations. User feedback mechanisms have been incorporated to guide future directions of the site. The site is optimised for low bandwidth access to enable the widest participation throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Asia-Pacific Regional Microcredit Summit 2008

  • Date: 28 - 30 July 2008
  • Location: Bali, Indonesia
  • Host: Microcredit Summit Campaign, Washington & Gerakan Bersama Pengembangan Keuangan Mikro Indonesia (Gema PKM Indonesia)
  • This Summit will offer the opportunity for microcredit practitioners, advocates, investors, donors, and others committed to the Summit's goals to assess progress, discuss challenges to achieving the new goals for 2015, and identify strategies for overcoming those challenges.

    About 1,000 delegates from more than 40 countries are expected to attend the Asia-Pacific Regional Microcredit Summit 2008, including heads of state and government and other dignitaries.

Asia Microfinance Forum 2008

  • Date: 26 - 29 Aug 2008
  • Location: Hanoi, Vietnam
  • Host: Banking with the Poor Network
  • This major international event will focus on the latest opportunities to grow microfinance availability through linkages with the financial system, new partnerships and innovative applications of technology.

    We are inviting representatives from microfinance institutions, development partners, commercial and central banks, learning institutions, government agencies and private companies interested in becoming involved in the Second International Asia Microfinance Forum to contact us by email and to preserve these important dates in their 2008 schedules.
