AusAID
The Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) is responsible for managing Australia's overseas aid program.
The objective of the aid program is to assist developing countries reduce poverty and achieve sustainable development, in line with Australia's national interest. AusAID provides more than $3.3bn p.a. in funding to developing countries.
Key priority countries of assistance include: Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Philippines, Vietnam and Cambodia. AusAID supports a number of development sectors, with priority sectors including: economic growth, rural development, microfinance and financial services, infrastructure, education, health, HIV, governance, gender equality, disability inclusive development, environment and development effectiveness.
