Government and other stakeholders gear up for policy implementation in Indonesia
Local governments and stakeholders in seven selected districts are gearing up for implementation of strategies and action plans based on the national water supply and environmental sanitation (WSES) policy as part of the Water Supply and Sanitation Policy and Action Planning Project, part 2 (WASPOLA 2).
The purpose of the project is to increase the capacity of the Government of Indonesia to implement the new policy and continue the ongoing process of policy reform for the WSES sector, emphasizing demand-responsive and participatory approaches. The goal of the project is to improve access for Indonesians, particularly the poor, to adequate and sustainable WSES services.
