Gangtok-Shillong and South Asia regional, water and sanitation program
This is a detailed website of the Gangtok-Shillong and South Asia Regional, Water and Sanitation Program, an initiative of the Indian and Australian governments in partnership with the Indian states of Sikkim and Meghalaya. The program commenced in December 2003 and was completed in November 2005.
This program was funded by AusAID with aims to improve water supply, sanitation and solid waste services in two cities in the north-eastern region of India.
The program comprised of four components:
- Delhi Program Management
- Gangtok Water Supply and Sanitation Project
- Shillong Water Supply and Sanitation Project
- Co-financing assistance to the World Bank's Water and Sanitation for South Asia Program - WSP-SA.
