Australian Development Gateway

The Australian Development Gateway (ADG) strives to support members of the development community in their efforts to reduce poverty and enhance sustainable development in the Asia Pacific region. The site has been created with participation from members of government, private, academia and non-government organisations. User feedback mechanisms have been incorporated to guide future directions of the site. The site is optimised for low bandwidth access to enable the widest participation throughout the Asia Pacific region.

SIWI report: The New Water Paradigm for Global Food Security

The report presents recommendations for policy and decision makers with regard to sustainable food production, sustainable food consumption and ecological sustainability.

  • Commissioned by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) and prepared by the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI), as input into the Commission on Sustainable Development (CSD) and its 2004-2005 focus on water and related issues.
  • Collaborating partners for the report - International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), IUCN - The World Conservation Union and the International Water Management Institute (IWMI).
