Social Accountability: World Bank

This site from the World Bank provides a definition on social accountability and its importance, and provides various papers relating to social accountability.

It describes social accountability as an approach towards building accountability that relies on civic engagement, i.e. in which it is ordinary citizens and/or civil society organisations who participate directly or indirectly in exacting accountability.
