Catalyzing change (pdf 491kb)
Integrated water resources management (IWRM) is crucial to ensuring countries get the most of water investments, that benefits are equitably distributed, and that gains are sustainable and not environmentally detrimental.
This document provides guidance to national decision makers, policy makers and planners, on how to develop and implement national IWRM and water efficiency strategies. It also provides some lessons learned from countries already engaged in IWRM practices, based on consultations with stakeholders from Asia, Africa and Latin America.
