The hydrogen sulphide paper strip test for water quality (pdf 355kb)
This report provides information on the scientific basis, manufacture and use of the hydrogen sulphide paper strip test to measure water quality in the Pacific Islands.
This is an alternative low-cost test for faecal contamination in drinking water which is simple to use and easy to interpret. Suggestions are given on how the test could be utilised for rural, outer island and community-based water quality monitoring.
