In June 2006 Dr Joe Remenyi, our guest microfinance and poverty reduction specialist answered ADG user's questions.

Joe has over thirty years of professional experience as an educator, applied economist, consultant and researcher. He has been an active professional, working with microfinance programs in Asia, the Pacific, the Middle East and transition economies. He has also been a consultant, team leader and key note speaker on Microfinance and poverty issues for major development agencies including the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, UNDP, ACIAR, AusAID, GTZ, NZAID, ADRA, CARE, Ford Foundation and World Vision.

In addition to this, Dr Remenyi has also led postgraduate training in microfinance as part of Deakin University's coursework masters in international and community development.
