What is Microenterprise?
Unleashing entrepreneurship: making business work for the poor
This report provides a broad overview of the critical role the private sector plays in driving economic growth, job creation and lifting incomes in developing countries, especially for the poor. It gives an analysis of the constraints and elements required to unleash the potential of private entrepreneurship including, access to finance, capital and a supportive governance, policy and legal framework. It also provides recommendations on how governments, civil society and the private sector can work together to build vibrant, ethical and socially responsible business enterprises.
