Microenterprise training guide

This microenterprise training guide was developed for volunteers but is equally useful for development practitioners working to assist microfinance institutions in the delivery of microfinancial and social and business development services.

These materials are also useful for programming staff in donor organisations in understanding the possibilities associated with the creation and promotion of microenterprises.

The guide consists of 5 modules:

  • Microfinance - an effective poverty reduction strategy
  • Microfinance methods
  • Operating a microfinance institution
  • Non-financial business development services
  • Business counselor and extensionist (mentoring)

Each module also contains useful information on key terms, activity suggestions, trainer's notes and further resources.
