Microfinance Institutions and Supporting Organisations
Opportunity International Australia
Opportunity International Australia seeks to transform the lives of poor men and women in developing countries, by providing entrepreneurs with access to capital and business training to start and expand small businesses.
Opportunity's strategy is to create jobs, stimulate business and strengthen communities among the poor. The network serves poor entrepreneurs directly through local partner organisations that provide small business loans, training and mentoring.
Sustainable microenterprises enable people to care for their families and gain the dignity that comes from being self-supporting. Communities are strengthened as local economies improve and entrepreneurs join forces to solve societal problems.
Opportunity International Australia is a support partner in the global Opportunity International network of 41 partners in 27 countries.
