Australian Development Gateway

The Australian Development Gateway (ADG) strives to support members of the development community in their efforts to reduce poverty and enhance sustainable development in the Asia Pacific region. The site has been created with participation from members of government, private, academia and non-government organisations. User feedback mechanisms have been incorporated to guide future directions of the site. The site is optimised for low bandwidth access to enable the widest participation throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Assessment tools for microfinance practitioners (pdf 2.06mb)

This manual was developed by and for practitioners working in the microfinance sector, and responds to their particular needs and challenges in assessing how their programs and services are affecting clients.

It contains five assessment tools that practitioners can use to gather information about their programs - and step by step instructions for using them. The manual also offers several critical advances in the practice of mid-range impact assessment.
