Effectiveness and accountability review Cambodia (pdf 793kb)
This Country-level Effectiveness and Accountability Review (CLEAR) provides an overview of the microfinance sector in Cambodia.
Leading microfinance providers included commercial banks, licensed microfinance institutions (MFIs), and NGOs. Together, these institutions provided loans to almost 400,000 borrowers covering every province.
It concludes that, over the past decade, donors and microfinance institutions have achieved remarkable success in building commercially oriented microfinance in Cambodia.
