World Education Australia
World Education Australia Limited (WEAL) works to reduce poverty in the Asia Pacific region through economic and social development programs designed to strengthen capacity, catalyse local communities, and contribute to individual growth. In order to achieve this, WEAL works with partners in the Australian community and in targeted developing countries to provide best-practice technical assistance and project management services in international development programs. This includes policy dialogue and advocacy where necessary and appropriate.
WEAL combines expertise and experience to provide training programs and technical assistance that strengthen the capacity of local communities, private voluntary organizations, non-government organizations and government institutions. WEAL programs currently focus on the microfinance, livelihoods and micro-enterprise, community, agricultural and rural development sectors throughout Southern and South-eastern Asia. World Education Australia is an affiliate of World Education Inc. (WEI). WEI is a 50-year old, international, not-for-profit organization founded in India in 1951, which aims to meet the needs of the poor through economic, social and educational development programs.
