Australian Development Gateway

The Australian Development Gateway (ADG) strives to support members of the development community in their efforts to reduce poverty and enhance sustainable development in the Asia Pacific region. The site has been created with participation from members of government, private, academia and non-government organisations. User feedback mechanisms have been incorporated to guide future directions of the site. The site is optimised for low bandwidth access to enable the widest participation throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Supporting entrepreneurship in developing countries (pdf 256kb)

This survey of the field and inventory of initiatives aims to provoke thinking about facilitating small and medium enterprise (SME) development by looking at the various kinds of support initiatives that are available and what they provide.

It is intended as a resource to facilitate networking and information exchange between SME support service providers, as well as stimulating ideas amongst donors and development organisations undertaking activities in this area.
