This compendium of papers on increasing the outreach and sustainability of microfinance through ICT innovation, have been prepared by the Foundation for Development Cooperation (FDC) With support from CitiGroup Foundation, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and the Banking with the Poor (BWTP) network. The aims of the study were:
- to build on existing work and allow BWTP members to apply existing knowledge and experience to their own organizational context;
- to develop the capacity of BWTP members to incorporate ICT solutions into their microfinance activities; and
- to provide relevant inputs and advocacy in the WSIS context, for the role of ICTs in the microfinance sector.
