Governance for the future - democracy and development in least developed countries (pdf 1.6mb)
This UNDP report identifies and analyses the key issues related to the realisation good governance goals in least developed countries (LDC).The report also looks at the economic and social dimensions of governance and development in LDCs, including how structural economic weakness and endemic lack of human institutional and productive capacity often compound inherent geographic handicaps.
Finally, the report also illustrates how some of the most efficient and creative solutions in overcoming development problems can be found in LDCs themselves.
