Asia-Pacific human development report 2006 - trade on human terms

The 2006 issue of the Asia-Pacific Human Development Report looks how trade and its benefits can be better harnessed to support human development in the region.

It provides an overview of trade and development in the Asia-Pacific region, and also covers a range of critical issues linking trade and human development, including:

- Agricultural trade policies
- Textiles and clothing
- Trade in services
- Trading opportunities for Least Developed Countries

The report concludes with eight policy recommendations for the region on how the benefits of trade and economic growth can be better harnessed to promote human development.
