Sustainability and good governance: monitoring, participation and process (pdf 361K)
This University Technology of Sydney paper provides practical examples of urban planning good governance, derived from Australian local council indicators and The Urban Governance Initiative (TUGI), a United Nations Development Program (UNDG), which has developed good governance 'report cards' for Pacific region local governments.
It demonstrates the importance of monitoring good governance participation and process, as well as outcomes, in context with the United Nation's Chapter 28 Agenda 21.
