Australian Development Gateway

The Australian Development Gateway (ADG) strives to support members of the development community in their efforts to reduce poverty and enhance sustainable development in the Asia Pacific region. The site has been created with participation from members of government, private, academia and non-government organisations. User feedback mechanisms have been incorporated to guide future directions of the site. The site is optimised for low bandwidth access to enable the widest participation throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Catalyzing good governance using Information Communication Technologies

The DigitalGovernance.org Inititiave, launched by the World Bank in 2000, is a network of academics and that develop governance projects in which Information and Communications Technology (ICT) plays an active and significant role, such as:
  • providing improved electronic governance (Egovernance) products and services and enhancing participation of people in their choice and provision
  • bringing new sections of society under the Egovernance sphere including the poor, the illiterate, the differently abled, indigenous people, migrants and displaced people.
The large site features numerous gateways, case studies, egovernance models, publications, events and forums.
