Australian Development Gateway

The Australian Development Gateway (ADG) strives to support members of the development community in their efforts to reduce poverty and enhance sustainable development in the Asia Pacific region. The site has been created with participation from members of government, private, academia and non-government organisations. User feedback mechanisms have been incorporated to guide future directions of the site. The site is optimised for low bandwidth access to enable the widest participation throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Maintenance training & planning

Training material source book - a guide for trainers in labour-based works (pdf 80kb)

This guide is for trainers who are responsible for providing training for labour-based roadworks, or for the development of small-scale contractors.

It provides a reference list of existing training materials in the areas of construction, maintenance and contracting for road works, and provides guidance on how to select or develop the most appropriate training resources.

The resources are organised under three themes - routine and periodic maintenance, construction, and contracting.
