Accountability arrangements to combat corruption: literature review (pdf 433kb)

This review attempts to demonstrate the benefits of anti-corruption and accountability arrangements in infrastructure programs.

The first section defines infrastructure services, the stakeholders involved and the outputs of the services. The second section explores corruption themes and how it relates to the delivery of infrastructure services.  Finally, the review discusses accountability and rationale for applying it to the delivery of infrastructure services, and provides examples of how this can be done in practice.
