Guidelines for earthquake resistant construction (pdf 3.57mb)
These guidelines aim to provide the necessary knowledge and skills to communities and local construction workers for construction of earthquake-resistant houses, using locally available materials in earthquake-prone regions of Pakistan.The guidelines provide information on site selection, appropriate planning, construction techniques and retrofitting of houses. Each section includes numerous easy-to-understand diagrams that assist with learning.
Government officials, aid organisations, and aid practitioners trainers and trainers may find this guide useful as a either a technical reference or training tool.
