Cost recovery for urban sanitation in Asian countries: insurmountable barrier or opportunity for sustainability? (pdf 97kb)
This paper explores alternate economic and technological models to the sustainable provision of urban sanitation services in Asian countries. In particular, the paper looks at approaches to urban sanitation delivery based on ecological and Buddhist economic principles.
This paper was awarded the PhD Prize at the conference of the Australian New Zealand Society for Ecological Economics in 2005.
