Corruption prevention strategies in the Philippines (pdf 45K)
This Asia Pacific School of Economics and Management (Australian National University) working paper provides an historical overview of corruption in the Philippines in the areas of public funds misuse and election tampering.
Although anti-corruption laws are in place, they have not been enforced due to society's general acceptance of corruption by elected officials. Strategies to mobilise civil society are presented to reverse the situation in the Philippines.
