The role of education quality for economic growth (pdf 1.1mb)
This paper examines the role of education in promoting economic well-being, with a particular focus on educational quality. The objective of this study is to review what is known about the role of education in promoting economic well-being.The paper pays particular attention to the credibility of existing research in establishing a connecting relationship between education and economic outcomes, and between policy initiatives and educational outcomes.
The authors draw the conclusion that the better the education attained, the more likely an individual is to have a higher income, leading in turn to a contribution to overall economic growth.
