Australian Development Gateway

The Australian Development Gateway (ADG) strives to support members of the development community in their efforts to reduce poverty and enhance sustainable development in the Asia Pacific region. The site has been created with participation from members of government, private, academia and non-government organisations. User feedback mechanisms have been incorporated to guide future directions of the site. The site is optimised for low bandwidth access to enable the widest participation throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Harm reduction manual

This manual provides guidance and information on preventing HIV and other harms amongst drug users in the Asia region.

Developed by Macfarlane Burnet's Centre for Harm Reduction and the Asia Harm Reduction Network, this manual brings together the accumulated experience of over a decade of attempts to change policy and implement programs on harm reduction.

The manual is available for download as individual chapters, covering a range of issues including:

- Drug use and HIV
- Education
- Injecting safely
- Substitution and transmission
- Counselling and testing
