Strategic partnerships
The AIDS epidemic strategic simulation (pdf 758kb)
This paper discusses conclusions from a gathering of leaders who participated in a simulation scenario. The scenario explored how to proactively address HIV/AIDS through multi-sectoral partnerships against the growing epidemic in India. The simulation was an analysis of scenarios that could occur based on actions taken in the present with the goal to provide a better understanding of the potential consequences and impacts of those actions.
During the simulation, teams representing key stakeholders worked together to innovate, articulate, and execute 53 partnerships and 100 initiatives to curb the spread of the disease and mitigate its impacts. These spanned business initiatives to raise awareness and increase access to testing and treatment, and government prevention efforts for high risk and marginalized populations at a national level.
