Australian Development Gateway

The Australian Development Gateway (ADG) strives to support members of the development community in their efforts to reduce poverty and enhance sustainable development in the Asia Pacific region. The site has been created with participation from members of government, private, academia and non-government organisations. User feedback mechanisms have been incorporated to guide future directions of the site. The site is optimised for low bandwidth access to enable the widest participation throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Mobile populations and HIV vulnerability (pdf 957kb)

This UNDP paper is a compilation of specific responses relating to mobility from the China-Myanmar border, Thailand and Viet Nam. It demonstrates the essential role multisectoral partnership has in contributing to an effective and sustainable impact for reducing community HIV vulnerability.

The responses include:

- Building blocks for a multisectoral community response to HIV vulnerability reduction in Ruili, Yunnan, China
- HIV/AIDS prevention and care for mobile populations
- Impact of peer educators versus visiting health educators on HIV knowledge and risk
