Testing, trials and rethinking human rights (427kb)
This document provides a set of explorations along two distinct paths. Some contributors invoke human rights as a means for tackling injustices in HIV prevention, treatment and research, whilst others specifically examine the tensions inherent within a human rights framework.Together, the contributors to this volume powerfully demonstrate the centrality of human rights in contemporary problems pertaining to HIV prevention, the development of vaccines and more effective treatments, as well as access to treatment and use of testing technologies.
