Education, even at the primary school level can help improve knowledge, encourage safer behaviour, and reduce infection rates, leading some UN and World Bank experts to describe education as a 'social vaccine' to HIV/AIDS.This report examines emerging data, draws on case studies and provides key recommendations on how education can play a critical role in fighting the spread of HIV/AIDS.
