Education for a world without AIDS (pdf 60kb)
This document is a statement from the Ministers of Education of Commonwealth Small States who met in 2004 to consider the current and potential impact of HIV/AIDS in Commonwealth countries and the role of education in addressing this serious issue.Small states are particularly vulnerable to the challenge posed by HIV/AIDS because of the limited economic and financial capacity at their disposal.
The document sets a firm charter for small states to follow for their AIDS education programs/initiatives and acknowledges that whilst education has a major contribution to make it cannot alone resolve all of the issues of HIV/AIDS.
