Based on numerous consultations and submissions from country members, this assessment by the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS, provides an update on the status of scaling up HIV prevention, treatment, care and support.The assessment includes an analysis of common obstacles and recommendations for overcoming them through an approach in which HIV prevention, treatment, care and support are integrated with broader health and social services. Such as programmes for primary health care, mother and child health, sexual and reproductive health, tuberculosis, nutrition, orphans and vulnerable children, as well as formal and informal education.
