Impact of HIV/AIDS in Papua New Guinea, Indonesia and East Timor (pdf 1.48mb)

This report details the findings of a collaborative study of the epidemiological, social and economic risks and vulnerabilities related to HIV/AIDS.

The report incorporates developed epidemiological models to project the future course of the HIV epidemic for the period 2005-2025 in PNG, Indonesia and East Timor under the following three scenarios:

- The first scenario assumes that HIV interventions remain at current levels (baseline scenario).
- The second and third scenarios assume an increase in HIV interventions to medium and high response levels.
