Australian Development Gateway

The Australian Development Gateway (ADG) strives to support members of the development community in their efforts to reduce poverty and enhance sustainable development in the Asia Pacific region. The site has been created with participation from members of government, private, academia and non-government organisations. User feedback mechanisms have been incorporated to guide future directions of the site. The site is optimised for low bandwidth access to enable the widest participation throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Aid architecture: an overview of the main trends in official development assistance flows (pdf 691kb)

In recent times, there has been a rise in ODA as donor countries scale-up programs in order to meet the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

This World Bank paper provides data and analysis on the broad trends in international development assistance (IDA), and the aid architecture by which it is delivered.

- Explores the growing complexity of the existing global aid architecture and increasing number of channels by which aid is delivered
- Highlights the need to improve harmonisation of aid delivery
