This paper examines the World Bank Group's (WBG's) strategy for heightening its focus on governance and anticorruption as an integral part of its work to reduce poverty and promote growth.This paper is a result of consultations with representatives from governments, donor agencies, parliaments, civil society organisations, private sector, media, and other stakeholders.
It discusses strategies to address the challenges that poor governance and corruption present to development assistance programs, including the development of new partnerships to promote good governance and tackle corruption.
