Tackling corruption for growth and development (pdf 388kb)

This AusAID document describes Australia's anti-corruption for development policy. Developed in collaboration with a wide range of Australian government agencies and external stakeholders, the policy provides a framework for planning, resourcing, and reviewing anti-corruption activities on a country and regional basis.

Australia's response to corruption will focus on three elements:

- Building constituencies for anti-corruption reform
- Reducing opportunities for corruption
- Changing incentives for corrupt behaviour

This policy outlines AusAID's strategy of engaging multilateral and bilateral donors, civil society and the public sector to build capacity and reduce corruption and its effects on the world's poorest people.
