Rapid Assessment of Philippines Country Strategy 2004 - 2008 (pdf 420kb)

The White Paper on Australia's overseas aid program outlines a commitment to strengthen the effectiveness of aid. Integral to this is the upgrading of country strategies to give greater prominence to outcomes and provide a single framework for whole of government development efforts.

This AusAID publication provides a rapid assessment of the Philippines Country Program Strategy 2004 - 2008 and includes lessons learned for the development of a new country strategy consistent with the changing context of aid delivery in the Philippines.

This review of the Philippines Country Program Strategy (CPS) by the Office of Development Effectiveness (ODE) is part of the process of upgrading country strategies. Conclusions will feed into the development of a new CPS for the Philippines to cover the period 2007-2011.
