Australian Business Volunteers
ABV is an international development agency that sends Volunteers to the developing countries of the Asia Pacific region. ABV assists developing countries in the region to reduce poverty by developing the capacity of local organisations, which it achieves through the transfer of workplace skills.ABV focuses on capacity building within micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in the private sector, but we also work with public sector agencies, local NGOs and other community-based organisations. ABV often works in partnership with other organisations, for example, Australian or overseas NGOs and foundations.
ABV is largely funded by the Australian Government's Overseas Aid Agency, AusAID and supports the broad aims of the aid program which are to alleviate poverty and create sustainable development.
