ICT in education
ICTs for community empowerment (pdf 1mb)
This report looks at the use of ICTs to help empower communities to improve their quality of life. Specific issues that are explored include the use of ICTs to support the following:- Non-formal education
- Poverty alleviation
- Capacity building
- Networking
- Information sharing.
It includes case studies from four countries, including Thailand, Sri Lanka, Laos and Uzbekistan, and highlights key challenges and lessons learned from their experiences.
