Index insurance and climate risk: prospects for development and disaster management
This publication takes a fresh look at the effectiveness of index insurance for reducing poverty and better managing climate risk. It provides case studies from India, Malawi, Ethiopia and the Mekong Delta which show that index insurance can effectively target a range of critical climate/poverty issues.
